About Us
Mission and Purpose
MISSION: The Marines Helping Heroes Foundation is dedicated to honor and support the needs of our heroes.
PURPOSE: The Marines Helping Heroes Foundation works closely with the Anne Arundel County Detachment of the Marine Corps League. Its purpose is to raise funds that directly benefit our local active duty military, veterans of all branches of the military, first responders, and other 'hero' communities.
Our Vision
To bring an end to the suicide epidemic among our veterans and other victims of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) while providing rapid response and support to the families of veterans and first responders in distress.
The Foundation
The Marines Helping Heroes Foundation, Inc is a 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization incorporated in the State of Maryland. The Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors who work to carry out the Foundation's mission.
The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as tax exempt organizations under Section 501(c)3 of the IRS Code.
The Board of Directors and other administrative personnel are volunteers and do not receive compensation in any form.
Our Logo
There are three essential themes to our logo. First, the colors are scarlet and gold to remind us of who we are and our commitment to leave no one behind. Second, the triangle is open symbolizing that some wounds are not yet healed. And finally, the triangle invokes images of the flag raising on Iwo Jima. The flag is missing symbolizing the care our veterans are missing and for which we are advocating.
