On December 31, 2016, the MARINES HELPING MARINES organization closed its doors as the number of combat wounded in-patients thankfully subsided. MARINES HELPING HEROES was created by the Anne Arundel County Detachment to continue the event's great legacy of service to our wounded heroes.

Funds raised directly benefit the Semper Fi & America's Fund and the Treat NOW coalition. These organizations assist active duty military, veterans, and others suffering from Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injuries, both of which have been linked to the epidemic of 22 suicides per day among our veterans.
