About the Challenge
The Marines Helping Heroes 5k Challenge is a fundraising event hosted by Arundel Mills in Hanover, MD. As many COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, we are pleased to continue the in-person Challenge this year. And because the virtual event was so successful, we have decided to continue it as well. The Challenge was initially created by the Anne Arundel County Detachment of the MARINE CORPS LEAGUE... and the goal remains the same. We support our military and veteran communities. Funds raised will benefit our local military, veterans, the Semper Fi & America's Fund and Treat NOW. These organizations work with individuals suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injuries, which have been linked to the epidemic of 22 military or veteran suicides per day. We need your help now more than ever.
The 5k Challenge Course
Course Description
This flat course is perfect for setting a personal best. The course works its way around Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover, MD and then runs along the mall passing Medieval Times, Bass Pro Shop, Dave & Buster's, and Cinemark Theater. Begin your kick as you sprint to the finish line between Live! Casino and the Arundel Mills Dining Pavilion entrance.
