MISSION: The Marines Helping Heroes Foundation is dedicated to honor and support the needs of our local heroes.
PURPOSE: The Marines Helping Heroes Foundation is the non-profit charitable subsidiary of the Anne Arundel County Detachment of the Marine Corps League. Its purpose is to raise funds that directly benefit our local active duty military, veterans of all branches of the military, first responders, and other 'hero' communities.
To bring an end to the suicide epidemic among our veterans and other victims of Traumatic Brian Injuries (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) while providing rapid response and support to the families of veterans and first responders in distress.
The Marines Helping Heroes Foundation is incorporated in the State of Maryland and is pending tax exempt status. The Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors appointed by the Commandant of the Anne Arundel County Detachment with the advice and consent of the detachment's Board of Trustees.
The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as tax exempt organizations under Section 501(c)3 of the IRS Code.
The Board of Directors and other administrative personnel are volunteers and do not receive compensation in any form.
